Jindrak Family Confectionery

The house of Jindrak has a long tradition. In 1929 my grandfather Kommerzialrat Leo Jindrak I. opened up the first cake shop at 22, HerrenstraĂźe. He employed two shop assistants and three pastry cooks. In 1971 my father Leo Jindrak II. took charge of the firm and he had both cafĂ©s redecorated. Two years later he opened up our “Pikant” ,our first cafĂ© at SĂĽdbahnhofmarkt and one year later our second branch at Urfahr.
In 1985 the size of our bakehouse was doubled. In 1986 my father Innungsmeister Leo II died and my mom and I, Leo III. took charge of the firm together. I have been running the business on my own since 1997.
In 2007 I acquired the confectionary “Wrann” and in 2009 I merged into my company.
But just as in the days of Leo Jindrak I in 1929, our cakes and pastries are still baked according to traditional recipes. We never freeze our products; instead, they are made fresh every day for true lovers of Austrian confectionery.
Only the finest ingredients are used – quality you can truly taste.
Jindrak remains a family-owned confectionery, with the next generation already preparing to carry on the tradition.
In 2016, Leo Jindrak IV successfully completed his master confectioner’s examination and is already an active part of the company today.
